Art Meets a Podcast
Hello friends Welcome to Art Meets a Podcast! A space to talk about artistic African and philosophical production. Join us as we dig deep with our friends to find out how the arts and cultural movements from Africa and its diaspora have framed our contemporary moment. We’ll be chatting with visual artists, curators and a wide range of other cultural practitioners. There are histories to learn, contradictions to unfold and various points of view that don’t always agree. We’ll be haggling with our friends and swapping out academic jargon for easy colloquialisms. Come on out here as we create this rich tapestry where African thought and practices are celebrated.

I know people will have a variety of feelings around this topic. This week Precious and I will be joined by Gcotyelwa Mashiqa for this super interesting conversation. Tune in today and see how you are feeling by the end. Apologies in advance if this sends you into a pit of despair.

Hey friends! This week we get really deep into identity, fluidity, hybridity and how these things sit in the internal and external self. Humaning is hard and we don’t have all the answers, but come sit with us anyway and see what comes up for you. We are joined by two fantastic humans, Tammy Langtry and Gcotyelwa Mashiqa who will give us some great insight into this topic.
